Brivo ACS300 is a compact, next-generation 2-door IP access control controller designed for Brivo’s cloud-managed platform. It’s ideal for small to mid-size commercial deployments that need modern credential options (including Brivo Mobile Pass), strong security posture (encrypted communications), and flexible reader support (OSDP or Wiegand).
Why it’s a solid choice
- 2-door / 2-reader controller: build a clean, scalable Brivo site without oversized hardware.
- Reader flexibility: supports Brivo Smart Readers plus OSDP (SCP) or Wiegand readers.
- Network friendly: host communications via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
- Power options: recommended PoE+ (or 12VDC alternative power).
- Secure by design: encrypted storage/communications with certificate-based authentication.
- Full door I/O: door position, request-to-exit, plus auxiliary inputs/relays for real installs.
Key technical specs (quick view)
- Readers: up to (2) readers per controller
- Inputs: (8) total — (2) door position, (2) REX, (4) auxiliary
- Outputs: (6) total — (2) door lock relays (wet 12V/350mA or dry 6A @ 28VDC selectable) + (4) aux dry relays (6A @ 28VDC)
- Reader interface: (2) Wiegand ports or (1) RS-485 port for (2) OSDP readers
- Offline capacity: up to 250,000 credentials offline; 60,000 events FIFO history
- Power: PoE+ recommended; alternate 12VDC 2.5A (power supply not included)
- Wi-Fi: 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz)
- Enclosure: approx. 7.4”W × 7.5”H × 1.5”D (compact mountable enclosure)
- Compliance: UL294 (access control)
- Install location: Indoor use only
What’s included
- Brivo ACS300 controller in compact mountable enclosure
- (2) MOV surge suppressors
What you’ll typically need (not included)
- Brivo subscription/account (Brivo Access cloud) and proper site provisioning
- PoE+ switch/injector or a 12VDC 2.5A listed power supply
- Readers (OSDP/Wiegand/Brivo Smart Readers) + credentials (cards/mobile)
- Locking hardware (electric strike, maglock, electrified lever/exit device) + REX + door contact
- Appropriate cabling, labeling, and door prep
Pro install note
Access control reliability is mostly door hardware + wiring. The ACS300 is a strong controller, but you still need correct lock selection, proper egress design, clean terminations, and tested door operation. If you want a turn-key Brivo build (controller + readers + electrified hardware + programming), contact us for a site assessment.
