CL1-86-SFIC Grade 1 Storeroom Cylindrical Lever Lock
The CL1-86-SFIC is a heavy-duty commercial cylindrical lever lock designed for high-traffic applications where security, durability, and reliable operation are required. Featuring an ANSI F86 storeroom function and Small Format Interchangeable Core (SFIC) preparation, this lock is ideal for commercial, institutional, healthcare, educational, government, and industrial facilities.
The exterior lever remains locked at all times and requires a key for entry, while the interior lever remains free for immediate egress. This makes the CL1-86-SFIC an excellent choice for storage rooms, electrical rooms, mechanical rooms, IT rooms, maintenance areas, supply rooms, and other restricted commercial spaces.
Note: This lock is supplied less core. A compatible SFIC core must be purchased separately.
ANSI F86 Storeroom Function
- Outside lever is always locked
- Exterior entry requires an authorized key
- Inside lever is always unlocked
- Interior lever provides immediate free egress
- Ideal for secured commercial and institutional rooms
Heavy-Duty Grade 1 Construction
Built for demanding commercial environments, the CL1-86-SFIC meets ANSI/BHMA A156.2 Grade 1 standards and exceeds 1,000,000 operating cycles. Its steel zinc-dichromated chassis provides corrosion resistance, while the precision cast steel retractor and fixed thru-bolts provide additional strength and long-term reliability.
A built-in clutch mechanism allows the exterior lever to rotate when locked without retracting the latch, helping reduce damage caused by excessive force or vandalism.
SFIC Interchangeable Core Capability
The Small Format Interchangeable Core (SFIC) design allows authorized personnel to quickly remove and replace the lock core using a control key without disassembling the lockset.
This feature is especially valuable for facilities with master-key systems, employee turnover, frequent rekeying requirements, or multiple secured doors.
- Fast core replacement
- No lock disassembly required for rekeying
- Ideal for master-keyed commercial facilities
- Reduces downtime during keying changes
- Designed for compatible SFIC cores
