The Hager BB1279 ETW4 is a commercial full-mortise, standard-weight ball bearing hinge with concealed electric through-wire transfer for access-control and electrified door hardware applications. The 4-wire ETW configuration allows low-voltage power and signal conductors to pass from the frame into the door without an exposed door cord.

Access Control Power Transfer

An electrified hinge provides a concealed path for low-voltage wiring between the door frame and moving door. This is often preferred over exposed armored door loops on finished commercial openings because the wiring remains concealed when the door is installed.

The ETW4 modification provides four continuous conductors through the hinge. Always verify the voltage, current draw, conductor requirements and wiring configuration of the connected locking or access-control hardware before installation.
